The original GTA 4 was not that bad. I personally thought it was still a very good game. But it just was not as great or excellent as it should have been, especially with all the hype it got. It really should have been a lot better than it is, but it's still a great game to look at and play.

@ Pennywise - You should listen to T9X69 and play Episodes of Liberty City as it kinda makes up for what was missing in the original GTA 4 game, especially with The Balld of Gay To...

Thats the main reason why I'm in gaming. I just love the experience of playing a single character in a very good, excellent game and following the whole thing through, enjoying the gameplay and completing it, feeling very satisfied at the end of it all.

I've never really been able to totally catch on to this seemingly popular, current trend in online gaming. Ok I completed the COD4 Modern Warfare single-player campaign and after that, I played the online mode and I had a lot of...

You still on your quest to even the level for the 360 fanboys who are outnumbered by the PS3 fanboys in here as the console war drags on? You still preaching your so-called neutral, " lets eradicate fanboyism" sermons? Well that is your aim is it not? I think you should just stop it already, I've seen so many people on here notice what a hypocrite you are. Ask guys like XTruthX and Jamie Foxx and more, they all have stated that you have major hypocritical tendencies. You clearly pre...

There are only two exclusive 360 games that I would like on the PS3 and thats the Mass Effect series and Alan Wake. but I would not buy a 360 for just not worth it. I've played Gears of War 2, it was good but I still dont see whats so great about it. I played a Halo 3 for a small while, and it's just not my type of game plus I felt the graphics looked quite poor. The rest do not ineterest me one bit. I do shift work and I just dont always have the time to play too many games anyway and I cert...

You asked me:

" What were the parts that made you wanna snap the disc? "

Well to be honest there were'nt too many moments, just handful. But it's not about how many there were, its about how extremely hard I found them! Here are some:

The part where you and Rico have to run back through the sandy wasteland and ruins to save Templar and Eve before they get captured by an advancing Helghast unit. The enemies that attacked me along that rout...

I've only just completed Killzone 2 for the first time ever just last night. I only bought the game a few months ago and I only began playing it for the first time at the beginning of this month, even though it's been out for well over a year now. I've enjoyed playing it, it's a very good game indeed. The action is fast, frantic, furious and brutal. The enemy AI is incredible, the Helghast make more than formidable enemies. Very good graphics and effects. It has a simple storyline, but it's s...

I can confirm that ian72 is totally correct I have the original GTA 4 game for my PS3 and I had the same problem that ian has just talked about. When you play the game for the first time on it's normal default settings, it's quite dark thats true. I was baffled at first, but when you go into the game's visual settings, you find that all you have to do it adjust the brightness, contrast, colour etc to your preference and it's looks 10 times better. On top of that, you can also adjust your TV's...

In my view, GTA 4 was quite a letdown and disappointment for various reasons, eg. missing features, repetitive gameplay, limited content etc. From what I've known, learnt and seen, that seems to be the general view amongst most gamers that are GTA fans. GTA 4 simply was not as great as it was hyped up to be. However, GTA 4 was certainly not a rubbish game by any means - it was well made and I still thought it was a very good game, and quite fun to play in many parts.

I remember ...

Uncharted 1 - The part getting towards the end where you investigate that hauntingly eerie and abandonded old Nazi submarine base thats underground. You had to use the flashlight as it was real dark and it was just dead quiet....that is until you heard some frightening grunts and roars coming your way, echoing in the passageways. Then all of a sudden these humanoid monsters appear out of nowhere and try to rip you to pieces! Man that was real crazy!

Uncharted 2 - Someone said t...

Edge dont know nothing about good games. I used to read Edge a lot before and I remember back then they always rated the obviously popular and generally criticlally acclaimed games lower than everyone else. From way back, I've never trusted their reviews.

But still, 5 hours only woth of single-player gameplay is quite pathetic if you ask me. Even it may be a good and fun game, Splinter Cell Conviction deserves no less an 8 if thats really the case. This should'nt be happening ...

Nah, London wont do it for me. London is a big city with a seedy underworld and lots of varied culture and scene but it's crime rate is simply not as bad as most major American cities. It just would'nt feel right, considering the high levels of crime set in GTA cities.

GTA games are just better set in American cities, it just feels better and more believeable. Cities in the USA just have too rich and varied underworld/gang culture and scenes. I want a next-gen, modern day versi...

I have to agree with most of the things that Icyhot is saying about GTA 4, except the graphics part. I'll give you my take on it. I don't think GTA 4 is rubbish or anything like that, I still thought it was a very good game. It had very good graphics, effects, animations and very interesting storyline and it was still fun to play. But, I'm a massive GTA fan and I played all the console versions last-gen and I have to say GTA 4 was quite a letdown and it felt like it had regressed instead of p...

I bought a game called The Saboteur for my PS3, which is a 3rd-person, open-world World War 2-based spy/action/adventure game with varied gameplay elements of spy missions, stealth, sabotage, escapes, rescues, gun battles etc. Now, the Saboteur gained an average score of 7s from most game reviewers - but I really enjoyed it, I loved the storyline, I really liked the characters, gameplay and the theme. I had was crazy fun fighting Nazi's like that in the game. I checked out reviews of the game...

I played GUN on my old PS2 and that game was brilliant and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. GUN was kinda of similar to Red Dead, it was kind of open-world with main missions and side activities and the gameplay was explosive, hard action. We definitely need more games of this variety. I'm looking very forward to Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar are once again getting in my good books. I'm about to buy the PS3 versions of Episodes from Liberty City and next month Red Dead, looking good.

I read the reviews of GTA 4 and IGN, Games Radar, 1UP and a few others all stated that the PS3 version looked slightly better in their opinion and thats a fact. I'm not gonna provide you with the links for proof, you all should know how to google something by now. However that dont mean the PS3 version is necessarily better as a general matter of fact. You guys have personal views. If you prefer the 360 version and think it looks better then thats fine, there is nothing wrong with that. You d...

I clearly remember IGN and a bunch of other gaming sites that stated the PS3 version of GTA 4 was slightly better than the 360 version a good while ago, way back when the game was first released and reviewed. I'm sure can't it be any different with the Episodes from Libert City. And before anyone thinks I'm starting a war, just go back and check the IGN GTA 4 review.

From these screenshot comparisons, I think the PS3 version looks slightly better anyway.

Straight up classic, brilliant, fun and memroable. The PS3 needs this, it really does.

@ soxfan2005 - What are you talking about? Personally, I am still disappointed with the original GTA 4 game, even though it was still a good game. Plus, I'm just a massive GTA fan anyway so if this makes GTA 4 any better then yeah of course I'm gonna look forward to it. Both PS3 AND 360 owners were very critical of GTA 4. The general view of gamers is that GTA 4 did not fully live up to it's expectations, it was considered in some ways, a letdown. And truth was, nobody was too bothered when t...

It only seems like yesterday since when Microsoft and he 360 crowd were screaming "episodic GTA 4 DLC exclusive to the 360!!!!" at the top of their lungs. So much noise was made, they just would'nt stop with statements like, "360 version of GTA 4 is the complete experience", "PS3 owners are jealous and butt-hurt because they are'nt gettin DLC", damn they went on and on. It took nearly 1 and a half years before both episodes came to the 360 anyway. I'll never forg...
